Well, it's not about the money. I'm ready to pay like $50-$60 for an app like this, but it has to be a 1-time payment. Pay once for additional content is also fine. Sell the updates is just stupid.

I think paying for major versions is a good balance for both the consumer and the business. It's the fair ground between a subscription model and pay-once. It's how most software used to be sold before SaaS subscriptions.
