Is it annoying to get 2 emails in a row when signing up for a service? I've just added email verification to @thankbox which means that new creators would get 2 emails when they create their first box:
- 1 for setting it up
- 1 for verifying their email
Annoying?

Depends on what you mean by “setting it up” email. Are you sending “Please finish setting up your account” or “You’re all set up now”? Personally, I don’t understand the “You’re all set up now” emails. If I create an account, I don’t need someone again telling me what I just did.
It's not quite as simple as that. The email you get when you create a Thankbox contains instructions that are valuable for first-time creators. It can actually be turned off afterwards by used that are familiar with the product and don't want it.
