People who say, "I don't want to focus on soft skills"
You don't want to...?

• have more empathy
• make better decisions
• help others grow
• be more efficient

• be a better person
I don't get it.

No one person has all skills mastered. But if you can learn a little from many people, you'll be levelling yourself up all round.
"If you don't have the mindset that you can learn from anyone, lots of opportunities for improvement will pass you by" is an excellent way to look at it. Thanks summing it up nicely
