Anyone know of a browser extension that would tell you the delivery carbon footprint of an online order before you buy it?

If this exists I wanna know about it! The challenge would be getting the origin location. With Amazon you can never really tell. Ideally you'd know where the product originated from too so you could calc the full product carbon impact.

Yeah, it'd be a challenge. Most sellers on Amazon list their business location but that's not necessarily where it ships from. Also, you can't really tell when the order has been "Fulfilled by Amazon". Does that mean it ships from the nearest warehouse? Tough one

Yeah, I guess for tracked packages it'd be reasonably easy. Maybe a simple site where you can enter a tracking code and it can scrape the shipping stages would be a reasonable first step?
