If you meditate but feel that after a session your mind has been all over the place, take solace in the fact that just taking that break of 5/10/15 minutes is still incredibly beneficial.

I might try moving mine to a different time of day. Currently do it in the morning so maybe I don't get the 'break' feeling from it.

Yeah, experiment and see what works best. I most often do it in the morning because I find my mind can more easily settle then. As the days goes on and you're more exposed to stimuli that gets harder
