I've just changed my Playstore image in the Play console (literally nothing else) and now Google are rejecting the update. WTF

Follow up on this. It was a valid issue where a previous version of the APK allowed YouTube videos to play in the background. The PlayStore team were very helpful (and quick) in answering my appeal and gave me a screenshot of the issue too. Thanks @GooglePlayDev

What was the actual issue (if you don't mind sharing)? Are we not allowed to play YouTube videos in app anymore?

You're not allowed to have YouTube videos play when they aren't visible on the screen. For example, if the user turns off the screen or you scroll past the video it has to stop playing.
