Would you use a social network platform that you pay a small monthly subscription to? Provided that network never runs ads and never uses your data for anything other than making the service better? RT for visibility pls.

Really depends what 'making the service better' means - for example Facebook's definition is probably different from yours/mine.

Good question. I guess that definition would be based on how the platform is used and continuously engaging with users in order to find out how to make it better for them. Without the need to cater to advertisers I feel/hope this could produce a much better development cycle.

I think if you put advertisements on Curated most people will accept it. People are used to using social network platforms with advertisements in them, so if the number of ads isn't that high, then it won't be a big problem.

But if it concerns the future of Curated, I guess it's a different problem. But most people are not used to "paying for social networks", so they won't like that idea.
