I might write a blog on how I got this working, since it took some experimentation for me to figure out.

You trying to get it to publish to Google play as well? I got that working by using the gradle play publisher plugin

So did I. I originally wanted to set it up as a deployment script, but it wouldn't let me sign the APK (for whatever reason, encrypted files are only available during the actual build and don't persist during deployment). Thus the cause of some of my issues.
