I mean as a consumer I'm glad they're doing this 
But as a developer who just wants the most basic of account permissions so that I can get on with releasing my app this is just frustrating

The process for a new Facebook app to get approved in order to access any user info whatsoever is super complicated. I'm 1 week into this now and I've had to supply them with actual scanned documents proving I'm a legit business.
