    I'd heard horror stories of buying domains off someone like this before but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this whole thing was. I guess I was lucky? was super awesome and, when he found out what I was doing, wished me luck ❤️

    He offered we use and even offered to pay for the fees, which was a kind gesture. Once I had sent the funds and Escrow had confirmed it he transferred the domain the same day - through GoDaddy.

    I had actually contacted the previous owner, at the start of the year. At that point, they didn't want to sell though. I tried again in June and, surprisingly, had a good response! He suggested the price - $3000. I thought about it and thought it was reasonable

    After a very straightforward sale process I managed to acquire for $3000 😍 In two weeks, once I'm back from my holiday, I'll be redirecting -> Story of the sale in the thread below

    In the span of one week in June Thankbox was targetted by fraudsters who managed to exploit the cash collection system using stolen cards and drain close to $3000. I wrote in more detail about what happened 👇

    Nothing can quite shock you into action the same way as having to deal with fraud in your product. I've been spending a lot of time this week creating a fraud prevention system for since there've been an increasing number of attempts to game its gift card system.👇

    Anyone have a Twitter contact? I'd be eternally grateful for anyone that can help me out here. A spammer maneuvered me into an API suspension. is basically down for 12 hours now as login is affected as well Feels like begging on here is the only option left

    It has been a bittersweet month but I'm glad to be ending it on such a high note. Thankbox broke through £10k (that's the queen's money, folks) in sales for the first month ever!

    Make it as easy as possible for people to cancel/return/unsubscribe. They already made their decision and adding extra steps won’t make them change their mind. But it will definitely make sure they don’t come back in the future.

    I quickly deployed a change to stop all gift card features and started working on a prevention system. It's already live and I'm monitoring and updating it. I'm additionally going to be exploring Radar to help stop these at the earliest point possible at Stripe's end.
