@jimcramer We didn’t catch or all die from SARS (which both more infectious and higher mortality rate). What’s different this time? Proliferation of social media hype.

This figure is pretty but that does not mean that it is accurate. If WuCor was less infectious compared to SARS then why are seeing so many more cases so much earlier despite faster and more draconian Chinese response?

How has the quarantine response for coronavirus compared relative to the same group?

According to this SARS was as lethal & more contagious than Spanish flu, yet hundreds died of SARS but millions from Spanish flu. How come?
-
Better understanding of infection control now than in early 20th century. Poorer diets and the effects of stress and deprivation following the war, mass movements of people...soldiers, refugees, displaced returnees across borders all made Spanish flu a bigger killer.

Doesn't that box mean it could be nearly as bad as SARS?
-
The left hand scale is logarithmic. Just to fit the really bad stuff in, I suppose. But it’s confusing. The top end of the coronavirus estimate is actually about 1/3 of the SARS figure. The bottom scale is linear - yes. Coronavirus could be as contagious as SARS.

Good graph. I think this one comes in bottom left of that rectangle. And then who carries the can for the hysteria....(MSM?)
