    Can you spot the 🌞 and the 🌚 on this wall clock by Lewis Foreman Day? The two female figures may represent Moonlight on the left and Sunlight on the right. Their draped gowns and the Japanese-inspired decoration on the clock face, are characteristic of the Aesthetic style.

    Aesthetic textiles used motifs such as birds and peacock feathers to symbolise the rare and exotic. The bright fluorescent colours of this printed cotton peacock feather design remains a key Aesthetic piece, designed by Arthur Silver for Liberty & Co. from 1887
