Ah man, too bad! They had something interesting going. That Microsoft login process was ridiculous and they seemed to start to stagnate. There were some great worlds built there though. Had fun at virtual Burning Man…sad to see it go.

It provided a much different cross-section to other VR/AR shows I've attended.
Seeing the presentations on GPT use, live performance XR theatre, how Star Trek was filmed with virtual sets, and HTC's new camera tracking tech was a special blend that opened my eyes up a bit.

I'm gutted to hear John Carmack is leaving Meta. He's one of the original believers in modern VR. His talks at Connect were always a highlight for me, he told it how it was without the sugar coating. Thank you for all your hard work, VR wouldn't be where it is now without you.
