I would like to extend my congratulations to both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India on the 74th Republic Day. In the past year, Somaliland has seen India as its 2nd-largest import partner, which is a result of the high number of Indian companies in Somaliland.

In Somaliland, the freedom of the press is considered vital for a democratic society. Without it, people are not able to access a diverse range of perspectives and important information. Somaliland is a significant example of this in Africa.
