Had a very distinguished prof w content relevant knowledge tell me yesterday, " there is zero professional upside for me to comment on covid policy" That's the downside of Twitter demonization, you drive out some truly thoughtful voices, but at least what remains is....

the "upside" is there as long as one goes with consensus and mainstream narrative. But there never have been a real downside to stand with truth and facts. Before 2020 there was a middle lane (being diplomatic) open now it is shrinking, and it may disappear soon.

And here I thought being a stakeholder in Covid (which is...everyone) was the barrier to entry to comment on policy. Must have misread the manual, clearly my mistake.
