Aren't knives like that illegal in CA? I think CA is one of the states with fairly strict knife laws.

certain types of folding knives are banned that's about it. fixed blade knives are unrestricted sans certain material/construction constraints.
BUT:
Penal Code 417 is the California statute that makes it a crime for a person to “brandish” a knife

I’ve only had a little formal knife combat training, but the fact he has two knives and is using reverse grip in what appears to be his dominate hand, really points out that these LARPers are a danger to themselves and anyone around them
