Nobody owned an AR in Jesus' mortal time, but they did own swords. Christ warned of the consequences of living your entire life by the sword. But he also gave this advice: If you do not have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. Luke 2:35-38 if I recall correctly.

What the left doesn't think about is that each time a right is taken away (even a subset of that right, like type of guns we can own), we incrementally move toward a state where we can't protect ourselves and we can't stand against a tyranny (if that were to happen again).
