And as we've seen from the sweaty, neckbeared responses to her and Valhallas female progtagonists I can sort of see why they might think that. Majority of gamers dont care but theres very vocal, very sexist minority that shouts loudest.

True. If the character is well written that’s all that matters. Though it does depend on the game. I don’t imagine a female-only call of duty game would sell as well as the usual ones.

No. Some people want to be told a story, not create their own in an RPG. That’s not how it works if you’re choosing elements of the story, nothing is canon then.
