The Obama years taught us it's vital to issue bold, left demands from the outset--to not give an inch to forces of war & capitalism that mobilized hard during the Obama admin and are mobilizing swiftly now. We don't owe anyone a honeymoon or breathing space--we need to save lives

US politicians inserting, “may God protect our Troops” in a speech is checking off the patriotic box, but their actions don’t reflect their words. Want to protect US troops, and the civilians of the world? Stop funding and waging US war in the first place.

November 11 used to be a holiday of peace, a day of a commitment to prevent war. Today, the holiday is called "Veterans Day" - a largely pro-war day. This year, turn November 11 into a day of peace, let's organize events around the 🌎 to say NO to war 💪

So we gave the Afghan army vehicles our own troops wouldn’t use because IEDs basically killed or maimed everyone inside due to its flat bottom? Cool.

No matter what happens today, next year presents the best opportunity in years to redefine how the U.S. approaches security. To succeed we must 1st focus on abolishing + defunding tools of state violence. My latest–kicking off a new series 👇
