  2. In Nevada today, visited Nthn Nevada Veterans Mem. Cem., which VA helps fund through the Veterans Cemetery Grant Program (VCGP). Later he addressed members in Reno. NCA uses VCGP to fund State Veterans cemeteries, giving Veterans more burial options.

  11. National Cemetery of the Alleghenies staff have been donating food for the “Feds Feed Families” food drive for 3 years. During which they donated over 400 pounds of non-perishable food. This year, the food will go to the food pantry at the City Mission in Washington, PA.

  12. At Florida Nat. Cem. today, the John Bartram Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution planted a garden to commemorate the centennial of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which will occur on Nov. 11, 2021. We thank them for their service and patriotism!

  20. Earlier today, Navy Electricians Mate 2d Class Leaman Dill was laid to rest at Black Hills National Cemetery in South Dakota. It had been nearly 80 years since he died aboard the USS Oklahoma at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Welcome home - we honor your service & sacrifice!
