That happens a lot with vrm, ive found if I just convert it into a vrm in unity i let it do its thing and not touch it. Usually it process it very slow but at other time's it just crashes. When it does that I make sure nothing else is open and just use unity by itself.
Hnnngh I’ve tried to import this stupid VRM file into unity so many times after exporting it and it crashes each time! What am I doing wrong?!?
