I’ll be real, lately I’ve been not feeling confident in my art, my teacher doesn’t seem to enjoy my work and it’s been a bummer trying to work on different things and trying new styles but feeling like I’m not no where near close enough to where I wanna be especially at this age

Teachers are often critical of cartoon or anime art styles unfortunately from what I have seen. While its good to have a solid foundation with anatomy, shading, colors etc, teachers discouraging cartoon/anime is super lame.
