You're going to want to make sure your friends see this: Senators Booker, Coons, and Flake just asked for the Senate's unanimous consent to pass a bill protecting the Mueller investigation from President Trump. But they didn’t get it. Because McConnell objected.

Patients are not "customers." The word "patient" denotes the uniquely vulnerable position of the sick, and they must have people 100% committed to them.

Best thing for specialists to do...sit in on a CME aimed at GP/FDs that is not your area. You will realize how much THEY know and need to manage that you happily left in medical school.

If you are an older doctor who now has the title of "Medical Director" or "Dean," do take time in your schedule to see patients. Try out that new . See patients in those 10 minute appointments. That way you will know the pain you you are inflicting on others.

Ok, , financial toxicity session was great, but the idea that MDs have to take responsibility by providing financial counselors etc. is using a watering can on a forest fire. We pay ~10x for radiology than other countries, we refuse to take on drug prices, and (1/ )

allow for-profit insurance companies to dictate both payments and patient access to care. I'm not suggesting that the SUO can fix the healthcare system, but if we're really going to address financial toxicity we need to be more active in policy and politics, and encourage (2/3)

Well, if you are going with the original meaning it’s fine for you to have single shot muskets. I don’t think many people would have an issue with that.

Canada, what will it take? How many starved children or burned hospitals in Yemen; how many many murdered journalists or tortured women activists? What is the exact red line ⁦⁩ ⁦⁩?

Donald Trump has just tweeted a thank you to Saudi Arabia for current low oil prices, which he likens to 'a big Tax Cut for America and the World!' In fact, Canada is the US's biggest supplier of imported oil at 40%, compared to only 11% from Saudi Arabia.

As a surgeon and member of a family torn apart by mass shooting I find this insulting to the highest degree. Surgeons have all been elbow deep in people’s chest/abdomen trying to save victims of guns-this is our lane. Your fear of data, science and the first amendment is shameful
