As a contractor, if I don’t work, I don’t get paid. I have no paid leave of any kind. I worked 2 days after surgery. I worked w/shingles. A lot of people work on the holidays. I was an ICU nurse. Always worked. My father was a fireman. He worked every other Christmas. Police, EMTs, soldiers, gas station Attendants, hotel workers etc. Did you just realize people work on Christmas?
