Up and getting ready for work. Going in today was “optional” but as a hourly worker— it’s not optional for me. We don’t get to makeup the time for yesterday which means a short check next week. The struggle is real but I am blessed to have a job.

Yeah all my employees with less then a year lost a day of pay as well.
I’m a contractor for various staffing agencies that fill positions at law firms. I am never with a firm long enough to get holiday pay or PTO. :(

It's a crying shame holiday pay only starts after a year with so many modern companies. Lots of people that are trying to pull themselfs up cant afford that one day of lost wages.
