3 yrs ago we became parents to a boy who had a whole life before us. Today it hit him that his mom who passed would never be able to eat Thanksgiving w/ us ever. If you’re grieving this holiday, you aren’t alone. His tears took our breath away but I believe she felt them too.

He will be ok. I am proud to be raising a young man who can access his emotions and express himself. I still think about the tragedy that brought us all together. He was my student. His mom passed while he was in my 3rd grade class.
