  It is some of my experience with family - Self diagnose & tell the doctor you saw an ad for something & then you have a prescription for it. Ads are a way doctors Don't have to spend any real time with patients.

  You're right and so is Andrew. But we can use those ads to our advantage by researching the drugs by their chemical, as well as their Brand names before we ever fill a prescription and refusing the ones that would do us no good!

  When a patient asks me to prescribe a drug they saw on tv, it’s usually impossible for me to do that due to high cost of the drug and non-preferred status on the insurance plan.
