A MD Progressive must be at the fore of waterfront environmental protection; a real leader and the go-to in Congress on waterfront wildlife, wetlands conservation, and be able to relate that back to quality of life for her constituents https://twitter.com/UrbinaForUs/status/1138919314164256770 …
Where do you think Hoyer has failed on Chesapeake Bay protections and restoration?

Hoyer missed a vote for a 2016 Amendment to HR 2406, which would have struck a requirement that Interior and Commerce had to consult with state agencies before restricting fishing in federal waters. The Amendment failed, but larger bill passed the House.

Tell the world, and share
the receipts. The Chesapeake Bay has taken too much damage from a lack of care to do the right thing. Our Oyster population is puny compared to what it was in the 1600s. Wade ins are great, but where’s the policy to support our estuary @LeaderHoyer?

In 2014 he voted for an Amendment that prevented FEMA from using its budget to end highly subsidized flood insurance. Such discounted flood insurance rates have destroyed flood plains necessary to both wildlife habitats and to humans (to serve as sinks when floods do occur).
