      I’m up. Can’t sleep. I’m having my gallbladder removed in 3 hours. When I recover I will get a bill for at least $2400. I can’t afford to pay. I have not been able to eat more than one meal a day in weeks but it’s the bills that keep me up. #Medicare4All #peopleoverprofit

      Ever heard of a deductible? Shaming someone for not being able to afford a necessary surgery is elistist and comes from a place of privilege. No one should have this kind of gap in coverage. And unfortunately, people do.

      No one should face a $2400 medical emergency. Period. You don’t know my income, you don’t know my insurance, and you don’t know my expenses. You cannot assume people have $2400 ready to splurge on surgery. They don’t. #medicareforall will SAVE $2T over 10 years.

      Luxury? Did you not read the tweet? I couldn’t eat more than one meal a day without getting sick. It was an emergency. If I was rich, I’d be self financing this campaign and getting PAC money left and right. I’m a human being with human struggles. And the 5th district needs that.
