Zoom in closer and you see where Bothell has actively programmed the pedestrian street, it’s full of people using the space and enjoying themselves. Pedestrian streets work in the suburbs and cities.

A random Sunday on our pedestrianized Main Street. With one of the three restaurants open (the other two haven't opened yet) there are by my rough count 36 people in spaces previously occupied by cars and 24 people on the sidewalks.
