Mayor Durkan and her team violated the rules in 2019 while conspiring to block the head tax. She signed a settlement that include "refresher training" on disclosure rules. Pleading ignorance the following year doesn't cut it.

Anyone who's submitted a public records request of Mayor Durkan or SPD can tell you they take 6 months or more. If text messages are being deleted after 1 month, how would public disclosure even work? Stretches credulity for them to feign ignorance.

And if anybody finds evidence it was a coordinated move for SPD senior command and Durkan to "accidentally lose" their text messages for the same sensitive timespan, that would appear to heighten that felony charge with a conspiracy charge. #SeattleProtests #DefundSPD
