Cars are regressive. Making car owners pay their social costs is just. Thank you for voting against a regressive spending plan for VLF revenue. But let's not pretend #CarCulture is progressive.

We massively subsidize car ownership. 1/3 of the city is paved. Most street parking is free. We mandated off-street parking, raising the cost of housing and storefronts. Making cars pay their social costs to fix our upside down transportation system isn't regressive.
