CM said she doesn't just want to pause Center City Streetcar work but to kill project entirely, which is very very true to form. Likely that kills entirely. Cc:

Pausing Center City Streetcar saves a few million from $9 million approved last year for minor design tweaks. But as CM Herbold intimated, it's a move toward dismantling Seattle's streetcar network entirely. Is that really what we want?

We can have a connected 5-mile streetcar network linking Capitol Hill, First Hill, Yesler Terrace, Little Saigon, Chinatown, Pioneer Square, Downtown, & SLU. Or we can kill it to save a couple million in a knee-jerk response to a recession... #TaxTheRich

Meanwhile, CM Herbold supports adding nearly a billion dollars worth of tunneling work to West Seattle Link to add a handful of riders at a cost of ~$8 million per dwelling saved. Does Herbold only support transit in D1? #ST3 #SaveTheStreetcar

Kill the West Seattle bridge. Don’t build a thing but the light rail one. We don’t get much out of the car bridge anyway
