High speed rail lines in North America are sparse. The Boston to DC Acela Corridor is the primary one. Houston to Dallas, Toronto to Calgary, and Mexico City to Queretaro are in planning. California is under construction, but the San Francisco to LA connection requires more funding. Credit: @UIC

So that’s what it takes to be an expert on transportation — driving a car? That’s not expertise, that’s indifference. What happens, then, when technology, 5G, climate action and other changes disrupt that idea? The way forward is not more of the same.
