A Central Staff memo shows the effect of amendments trimming MHA rezones. The net effect is projected at a loss 56 MHA in the next 10 years, which corresponds to ~800 fewer market-rate homes in MHA areas. This is significant! #HALAyes seattle.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&

Trying to evade shared responsibility for affordability crisis is a bad look.
Memo suggest 95 fewer MHA homes (~1300 market units) would get built in shrunken Urban Villages, other UVs (led by Eastlake) would pick up some slack to build 39 more MHA homes (~500 market). #HALAyes

That loss of affordability and shirking of shared responsibility is why we urge , , , and to rethink their shrinking amendments. Ditto, . #HALAyes #MHArezones

56 MHA homes might sound like much, but that's just in one decade. We need to set Seattle on a more equitable course ASAP. Inclusionary zoning will pay dividends over generations so non-millionaires can afford to live in Seattle. Don't go small! #HALAyes
