Update on our continued review–we have suspended this channel’s monetization. We came to this decision because a pattern of egregious actions has harmed the broader community and is against our YouTube Partner Program policies. More here:https://yt.be/help/xLtT

One is a private company with policies in place that the user clearly violated. And one was the president violating norms with the free press in order to suppress someone he doesn't like. Not all 1st amendment cases are the same.

Nice justification of banning speech you dislike. Both are wrong based on my principles.

Let me ask you this, in all seriousness, can i come and standat the end of your driveway at 2am and yell insults at you through a bullhorn for hours every night? Or would you and other members of your neighborhood take steps to put an end to that?

Well, what you are stating is actually illegal, so it’s a bad analogy.

The legality isn't important for this, the point is he claims to not agree with banning speech he dislikes but obviously there is a limit correct?

The limit is if it infringes on my rights. I have a right to get a good night's sleep. I don't have a right to stifle someone's speech who I can ignore by putting down my phone, muting or blocking them.

Where is it stated you have a right to a good night's sleep? The right to freedom of speech is explicitly stated and I can point you straight to it. Of course, that right applies to government censorship not the public setting limits on what they want to host and listen to

You're right. I don't have that right, however, where I live, you DON'T have a right to keep your neighbors up by blasting music or otherwise disturbing the peace at certain times of the day.

So, we understand then that there are agreed upon limits to what people will put up with before those people start taking steps to stop letting you be a problem
