Oh my the word you cannot speak: 1st amendment gone now! She did not name any individual did she? Trump did not name any individual but the MSM doesn’t mind naming Trump & making it personal! Don’t be a snowflake just turn it off if u don’t want to hear it!

An Other than Honorable Conditions discharge, she basically received the same for HER inconsistent alignment w/
@UofAlabama values. -
Well insane moto: I have an honorable discharge and a Purple Heart but to label yourself as insanely seems to me to about where you are! I attended UAH & I know about Aristotle, Plato & Socrates the official gods of UA so why don’t you go & do like they did?
-
I have respect for veterans including the ones in my family and especially my uncle, who did two tours in Vietnam and has a purple heart.
-
Yes since you seemed to say I had a dishonorable discharge, I stand in doubt of your integrity!
-
I kept it about orgl com. Make that critical orgl com, which is where social change occurs. Social change is what we need.

Good, but how about all those sisters in background laughing and encouraging her
-
They should get out of our school too.
-
I was in favor of expelling the girl who said it but the other people in the car is a trickier situation. They might have been nervously laughing and not had the courage to speak up. This is an issue in and of itself and I do think they should face discipline but expulsion /1
-
I sure hope the student didn't leave the school because of discipline, because that would be illegal (to discipline her for that).
-
Its not illegal she violated student conduct and they have every right to expel her
-
Nope. They're a public university and her speech was protected under the First Amendment.
-
I suggest you read Alabama's and pretty much any University's, public or not, Student code of conduct. Pretty standard across the board. You have no idea what you're talking about lol. If she had a case which she doesn't someone would've entertained https://studenthandbook.ua.edu/policies-relevant-to-students/code-of-ethical-conduct/ …
-
I'm familiar with the code of conduct. It can't supersede the Constitution. I suggest you read the hundreds of court cases that deal with this exact issue. Papish v. Board is a good start.https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/410/667/case.html …

Great to see swift action. As a college counselor it’s important for me to know my school recommendations are safe places for all my kids! Now a dismissal for her friends will also send the right message.

Is probably a little extreme for just being in the vicinity. What if one of them didn’t even know her? Again they should def face discipline but I don’t think it should be expulsion. /2
-
Unfortunately the two that I saw was not a nervous laugh. They were aware and ok with it. They should face some consequence.
-
I would def investigate it more &see what they said & why they were in the video. And I would say either way they should be kicked out of their sorority. But the school discipline imo should depend on what their response is and the situation. I agree they should face some form
-
Of discipline. Was just saying that expulsion might be a little strong depending on the situation. I am glad most importantly though that the school responded quickly and expelled the girl who was speaking.
