If you don’t have 4000 hours at least for view time then you won’t have any earnings. Can’t earn money if you don’t have a significant amount of viewers giving you watch time.

YEah I know I read the terms it just makes it extremely harder on my channel now as I am a part-time YTers and I need that revenue from views to survive on the channel. More channels will close because of this I bet, unless you're the Zombie celebs

I have 10 videos that have made me money out of over 500 that I have on my channel. 490+ videos on my channel have made less than $50 in add revenue combined. If you aren’t at that threshold for hours watched then you won’t even be making money either way.

It’s stupid IMO, you want to encourage smaller channels working their ass off to keep grinding, not discourage them. Twisted system and no wonder people prefer to Twitch.

It’s not twisted. There just isn’t enough adds to go around. This is how YouTube used to be back in 2013 then it changed but now there is millions of “small” youtubers making videos each day and there just isn’t enough add to play on those channels so they have to adjust

I’m salty just because it’s been a struggle to try and crank these vids and streams out that’s all. Whatever can’t fight it. At least I have vacation next 2 weeks. Hope I don’t lose subs during that time. Will def post videos for those days.
