Never earned much at all anyways, Its still a killing blow

If you never earned much from it it's hardly a killing blow. Don't be a victim and use this as an excuse to be lazy. Earn the subs and you can maybe make a little from it. But tbh, even channels with 1000 subs would only get around $20 a month. Depending on how many uploads/month

You’re missing the biggest issue. Forget the money, us small creators hardly made that anyway. It’s losing access to necessary features that is most upsetting. I need end screens and custom thumbnails to even have the tiniest chance

This is a knee jerk reaction from the community assuming that thumbnails will be removed from channels between 0 and 999 subs.
@BrizzyVoices is having a massive discussion with her fans on twitter about it. Somebody has said they have a small non-partnered channel with thumbnails1 reply 1 retweet 8 likes -
Actually you may be right about thumbnails. I really hope so

Just to clarify, you need not be a part of YPP to use the creator features like custom thumbnails or live streaming. You just need to have a verified account (by phone): https://goo.gl/3iMkBG

So will I still be able to use thumbnails and live-streaming even if I don’t have monetization from the new update?

Yep! This new change won't affect whether or not you can schedule videos.

Thank you very much for this information. But I still have a question: Does the loss of the partnership limit my video length?

I'm do not have a partnership and I can still create lengthy videos buddy, my Last one was over an hour so I don't believe there is a limit
