Yes this is the core simulation code. We tried to get a good balance between complexity and realism. Don't worry though, you can still easily use the feature without understanding the code.

The dog primitive comes equipped with a mesh collider, so yes you can use OnCollisionEnter to detect pets and boops. (Use OnCollisionStay for scritches).

Well, of course full cat support has been a long-standing unsolvable problem in tech for decades. It may never be possible. But still, we have an experimental R&D dept exploring the possibilities. Realistically though, the tech is still probably years away.
