if we're white people who are part of the "LGBTQ community" but we still support capitalism and "America," we are just as complicit in upholding a system of oppression as the homophobic, transphobic whites who discriminate or commit violence against us. #NationalComingOutDay
Thanks for this post. The LGBTQ "community" gained its rights at the expense of African people, in the aftermath of the brutal end of the Black Power Revolution of the 60s. Ideas/slogans/tactics were all borrowed, read: stolen, from the African people fighting for life.
