Well when a game is about winning you don’t play stuff that won’t work. E.g talon vs Tier 2 fortified, DH vs mass defend footies etc. There are no alternatives (besides cheeses, kotg on some maps etc.) Maybe play elf; see how easy it is to pull off a warden vs good human ;)

From a fan pov, not discussing balance really but the pleasure to watch games.
I find it really boring to either watch mass T1 games all the time, or having a meta warden being uncontrollable by Humans just destroying economies
