jeah, we love this league sosososo much, but in the end we lose viewers if we stream it on sundays. players have to stop bitchin and play on friday evening! :D
yeah maybe clan wars are quite confusing for the casual viewers that likes the game but knows nothing of the scene. He might find himself like isolated inside a party of people having fun together.

Yeah, missing rivalries, maybe 2v2 too confusing, you'll find the better players in the cups, etc. I see where they are coming from. I also think you'll need something that stands out compared to the normal 1v1s. Maybe interviews before the game by the team managers/cpts., 1/2

2/2 little bit of trash talk, guide us through the seeding process. Make it special. Themed clanwars as suggested by Jannes would be also worth a shot. But for the 'normal' clanwars as long as there is a big 1v1 cup on sunday it should be really hard. idk
