I think the same thing will happen again: I and many others will migrate back to the official bnet ladder. It should just be a lot easier to access with developer-in-client-support than anything pad can do. I'm glad pad is getting some money for his work tho.

Yea everyone will most likely switch back to normal BNet once "everything" is implemented, but do we know WHEN that will happen? Just imagine WC3 without Pads Ladder, everyone is forced to play a bad MMR based BNet Ladder or 200-250 ms Netease.

That is totally my opinion as well, which on my managerial point of view makes me quite saddened. The optimal way to do this would be for Blizz to have Pad work on the official bnet ladder instead. One can dream.

There are so many question marks: - time and date of blizz ladder - IF blizz ever does a ladder - blizz coming up with a better matchmaking than Pad's - server issues - blizz ladder for all modes, 2on2 3on3 etc.? Honestly, Blizz should work with Pad not against him.
-
That is my conclusion as well, why don't they just reach out to him instead of seemingly ignoring him

W3C as a general ladder for everyone has an expiration date. That doesn’t mean it can become something else, there are many ways it could evolve to stay relevant whenever blizzard comes through with proper features for wc3r bnet

W3Champions will act as the competitive server with the best players and the highest skilled "player pool". It will be W3Arena over again. Let's keep the two things divided, and let http://battle.net cater towards a different player pool

think will be same as w3arena... the pro players got their pro (w3c) ladder with always nice ping (plus maybe playing bnet top ranks for the lols) and the casual rest remains in in the wide waters of bnet, as getting your ass whooped by the elite just ain't that much fun.

W3arena was lagging behind in patches, W3champions does not. There is no reason at all (at least for good players) to ever move back to a Blizzard ladder that will most likely be worse in terms of matchmaking, maintenance and website features

for me the question at this point is IF bnet will catch up. And well if thats gonna happen, if blizzard will release a ladder as good as Pads, I think people will (and should!) go back to bnet ladder. But tbh I am not sure anymore if thats ever gonna happen
