For the first time in forever (beside WCG), there is finally a competition organized for ANZ players. We can understand that he wants to play it, while respecting his Dust ban league. (...)

Beside ESL cups usually have stream delay don't they ? Each time you dont enforce a 1mn stream delay on casters, you have players tempted to use that to their advantage and you cannot really control who is watching (...) Not everybody is honorable when given that opportunity

I had the same question as you. I was told it was a part of the agreement that he wouldn't participate in *any* events.
-
that's a very big (and unreasonable) thing to ask for tho. compare it to the ban b2w gave terror: they asked other organizers to also ban him, not terror to not sign up to other events.

If i remember correct he put the ban on himself, saying he wouldnt play any tours in the 6months..
-
Yup, that's correct. From his post. "I have received a 6month ban from all dust league events, which I will take as a global ban from all tournaments in warcraft lll." Can't say I have a dog in this fight, but you're correct that he said it himself.
