Removing host bots was a blessing for the custom maps scene. Many different maps were hosted after and host bots didnt spam the lobby with the same maps. This is of course completely diffferent to the ping issues in pro tournaments after bots got removed. It wasnt all bad :D
(...) what stroke us then was that there did not seem to be a suitable replacement for hostbots and that we were threw back to the stone age of hosting a simple game. I'm baffled that nothing was done, even in the wake of a $25,000 inauguration's tournament. Just so discouraging
