Had a good time with the crew. Watch the video and let me know if I'm improving on my resting disappointed dad face when presenting.

We're back! January is busy, isn't it? ;) Latest 🔥 post from community member, engineer, and EMT on Obstacles to LFI in Practice. "This might just sound like a matter of swapping out words, but it's actually a way of changing approaches"

Before I forget: you should not run everything in kubernetes or containers. Anyone telling you to do that is selling you shit. Some things are fine with ansible/terraform and a single VM, or 2-3 containers. Stop adding complexity.

Football would be a lot more interesting, exciting, and meaningful if instead of just hitting, they stopped for a moment to discuss their truths.

A good football alternative is sitting your kids down and talking to them about how everything they watch on tv is trying to sell them something. A product, an idea, a candidate, a sugary death drink. Tomorrow, let’s choose meditation and ancient grain açaí bowls over Super Bowls

Hi! I think a really good way of summing it up is that "females" has non-human connotations! Any species has males and females, but the human species has women and girls as a specific term for female humans. Calling women and girls "females" is dehumanising language toward women

Even if it doesn’t have “customer impact” associated, if engineers familiar and responsible for production systems thinks it should be an incident, then it. is. an. incident. That’s the criteria. Your competition is *hoping* you’ll use a static set of definitions/severity. 🙂

On this day in 1986, Space Shuttle Challenger exploded 73 seconds after launch, killing all 7 crew members. In a memo to his superiors 6 months earlier, an engineer had predicted a “catastrophe of the highest order.” His warning was ignored. Full memo:
