As we pray for the victims and all those affected, we also must pledge to do whatever we can as a Congress and as a nation to do end this senseless violence.

Political leaders must end hateful rhetoric that serves no purpose other than to divide us as a country. And Congress must act and put forth responsible and commonsense gun control measures that are designed to make us safer.
