Yes there is a warning sign but this is a little harsh
First and foremost, Tevis and I send our condolences to the family of Arthur Medici, the victim of yesterday's shark attack. Going forward, I will be convening meetings w/the National Park Service and coordinating w/state and local officials on how best to address this issue.

We cannot protect every aspect of human life. The summer was over and typical services had ended. There is only so much money in every community’s budget. I am so sorry for this loss of life. It is the first death from shark attack since the 1930’s.

Watching people blame politicians and it is silly. I am so sad for this man and his family. But, we take risks, otherwise, life would be very boring and sterile. Sometimes it does not end well.

I'm interested in using technology to help warn beach goers of shark dangers. Drones using AI to survey waters, tracking known sharks, integrating any shark sightings and prey sightings, giving risk forecasts for beaches. A solution can exist to mitigate risk.

With ocean temperatures rising these events will probably become more frequent. If a technological solution exists to keep surfers/swimmers safe why not deploy it?
