According to a new report we’ve been working on, there’s certainly enough utility $$$ in FL Congress that legislators no longer nominate Public Service Commissioners who say no to utilities. Period.

is spot on. Florida has lagged behind in helping most vulnerable citizens avoid pollution and reduce power bills for decades. PSC staff scheduled rulemaking on conservation goal setting process - FEECA- but it remains whether real barriers will be addressed.

Long story short, A LOT of $$$. Florida has what is often referred to by the utilities as a "positive regulatory environment," meaning - It's pretty darn easy for them to do what they want and make a profit. That doesn't happen accidentally.
